The Academy supports continuing education and research in Interpersonal Psychotherapy and identifies and certifies clinicians skilled in Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
Based on an objective evaluation, certification is awarded to those individuals who have successfully completed the three day intensive Interpersonal Psychotherapy Onsite or Visitors Training Program and the associated IPT Supervision Components.
Application Fees
The application fee for Individuals who have completed formal training and supervision with The Institute for Interpersonal Psychotherapy is $250 (US). This fee is not refundable in the event the applicant fails to meet the evaluation criteria (for certification) as determined by the Academy of Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
The Application fee for individuals who have completed formal training and supervision at a location other than The Institute for Interpersonal Psychotherapy is $350 (US). This fee is not refundable in the event the applicant fails to meet the evaluation criteria (for certification) as determined by the Academy of Interpersonal Psychotherapy.
